McDonnell Foundation grant to Allesina Lab

The James S. McDonnell Foundation awards a “Studying Complex Systems” grant to the Allesina Lab. The project will be done in collaboration with the Bergelson Lab at the University of Chicago and will involve an experimental part and a modeling/mathematical part.

The project will last 4 years. The funding ($449K) will support 2 graduate students and cover experimental material.

Modeling peer review funded

NSF supports the modeling peer review project

Modeling peer review is now a project funded by NSF. The proposal “EAGER: Accelerating the Pace of Discovery by Changing the Peer Review Algorithm” has received an NSF EArly-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) Award for 240k$. The award will support a postdoctoral fellow and an undergraduate student.
